The Circle of Hands Foundation

Presents its

6TH ANNUAL BENEFIT DINNER

By Errol Smith

On Saturday March 19th  2016, The Circle of Hands Foundation (COHiF) will be hosting its 6th Annual  Benefit Dinner at the  Sheraton Hartford South Hotel – 100 Capital Boulevard, Rocky Hill, CT 06067 from 7PM – 1AM. We will be recognizing three outstanding individuals in our community, as well as raising funds for the organization

The Circle of Hands Foundation is a Hartford based 501(c) (3) organization, assisting three orphanages in Jamaica caring for children with HIV/AIDS. We work directly with the caregivers and children in the homes. We send US $1,000.00 monthly to the homes for food. 100% of the funds we receive goes directly to the children. Our only overhead expense is our post office box.

The organization is run by a group of dedicated volunteers and relies on the generosity of individuals and organizations to accomplish our mission.

There are currently 65 children residing in these three orphanages in the Mustard Seed Communities in Jamaica: Dare to Care and Martha’s House in Spanish Town and Matthew 25:40 in Kingston. Matthew 25:40 has 17 boys, Dare to Care has 12  girls and Martha’s House has 36 children (21 boys and 15 girls). Of the 65 children, 61 attend school and four of them remain at home. As it relates to the children who stay home – all four are moderate to severely physically and mentally challenged. All the children are responding well to their ARV therapy and are all treated at the Pediatric HIV/AIDS clinic at the University of the West Indies Hospital in Kingston.

Like most non-profit organizations, we have experienced a significant decrease in donations. We are confident that with your generosity and that of others, we’ll be able to continue this very important mission/ministry we have undertaken. Despite the tough economic conditions, we donated over US30,000 to the orphanages in 2015 and plan to do the same this year. This is a significant amount of funds given the size of our organization but we know that our Almighty Father will replenish our basket as we endeavor to assist His children.

We would be honored if you could attend this event. We will present a brief overview of the services we provide to the orphanages, however, the evening will be one of fun, entertainment and dancing!

We look forward to your support and to seeing you on March 19th.
