Garvey’s Future: Exonerating the man, Exhuming the Dream
Keynote speaker : Dr. Claire A. Nelson, Ph.D., Author, Founder & President of the Institute of Caribbean Studies in Washington DC, Chair of the National Caribbean Heritage Month, Executive Director of Invest SMART Caribbean & National Caribbean American Heritage Awards.
This will be a two-day event beginning on Saturday February 26th , 2022 and ending on Sunday February 27th, 2022. The events scheduled for Saturday February 26, 2022 will focus on the community from a safety awareness and wellness perspective. The main event on Sunday, February 27, 2022 will take a rear-view evaluation of the impact of Garveyism, what it was, where we are today and is it still valid as a movement to empower and engage us into action.
