2026 Barbara “Madge” Veronica Kelly (McCalla) – Celebration of Life SERVICE/Mass of Christian Burial
We extend our heartfelt condolences to the family and loved ones of WISCOH Member Barbara “Madge” Veronica Kelly (McCalla). Barbara “Madge” Veronica Kelly was a devoted nurse, cherished family matriarch, and beloved community member whose kindness and vibrant spirit touched everyone she met. Born in Kingston, Jamaica, and later making Hartford her home, she spent nearly 40 years delivering compassionate care in Labor and Delivery while also serving faithfully at St. Justin’s and volunteering in her community. A joyful traveler, music lover, and true social light, she embraced life with warmth, generosity, and an unwavering love for her family. Her legacy of compassion, integrity, and connection will continue to inspire all who knew her.
The West Indian Social Club is experiencing a very challenging year as we continue to mourn the loss of several beloved members and friends. Their impact, spirit, and contributions remain deeply woven into the fabric of our community. As we honor their memories, we also stand together—supporting one another, celebrating their legacy, and carrying forward the strength and unity they helped build.
