Caribbean Soccer Night!
CSN Hartford 2023
Fundraiser to benefits LOCAL Youth Soccer Programs. Kickstart the summer of West Indian Independence / Caribbean American Celebrations with soccer/international-football for a good cause at the number #1 Soccer stadium in Hartford, CT (Trinity Health Stadium). Bring your Caribbean and USA flags! Goooal!
- Since 2021, the West Indian Social Club of Hartford, in collaboration with Hartford Athletic, has implemented a Caribbean Soccer Program with an annual Caribbean Soccer Night. The purpose of this program is to expose our youth to Caribbean culture through soccer (football).
- It also exposes them to professional players and professional sports. As part of this program, we do a Youth Soccer Clinic taught by professional players with a focus on Caribbean players.
- Each year, we recognize the Caribbean players through a meet-and-greet evening. This year, we have four Caribbean players from Haiti, Jamaica, St. Vincent and the Grenades, and Trinidad & Tobago. We will be raising the flags for all four countries at halftime.
- In honor of our Founding Fathers of WISCOH, our Caribbean Soccer Program includes a “night out” for Farmworkers who are currently working on farms in CT/New England area. This year, we expect up to 23 Farmworkers to attend CSN Hartford 2023.
