West Indian Social Club of Hartford Announces 76th Anniversary Gala
Theme: “Honoring Our Journey, Igniting Our Future”
Hartford, CT — For 76 years, the West Indian Social Club of Hartford (WISCH) has served as a cornerstone of cultural preservation, community empowerment, and Caribbean pride. Since its founding in 1950, the organization has remained a steadfast beacon for generations—uplifting the diaspora, nurturing leadership, and celebrating the richness of West Indian heritage.
On April 18, 2026, WISCH will host its 76th Anniversary Gala, an evening dedicated to reflecting on the legacy that shaped the organization and celebrating the vision that will guide its future. This year’s theme, “Honoring Our Journey, Igniting Our Future,” pays tribute to the pioneers whose dedication built the foundation we stand on today, while spotlighting the innovators and community champions who continue to propel the mission forward.
The celebration begins at 6:00 PM inside the historic West Indian Social Club and the elegant People’s Ballroom, a venue that has welcomed world‑renowned performers, international dignitaries, and generations of community leaders. Guests will experience an evening where Caribbean elegance meets purposeful celebration—complete with vibrant cultural expressions, distinguished honorees, and an atmosphere that reflects the strength and unity of Hartford’s Caribbean community.
