Celebrate Emancipation Day of Jamaica with an outdoor funky reggae party! Featuring The Ark Band playing roots reggae, calypso, and soca music, with excerpts from Bob Marley’s Songs of Freedom. Stay for a viewing at 7pm of Following Harry, a documentary that chronicles 96-year-old civil rights icon Harry Belafonte’s commitment to social justice. From his kitchen in New York to Ghana, it captures his work alongside young activists, his reflections on the evolution of race relations in America, and his vision for the future.
